HWA International School offers summer camp programs based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, aiming to develop students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The summer camp consists of six interdisciplinary themes covering areas such as language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, political science, and economics. These themes include “Who We Are,” “Time and Space,” “Expressing Ourselves,” “How the World Works,” “Organizations,” and “Sharing the Planet.” HWA International School is the first bilingual IB international school in Singapore that integrates overseas Chinese cultural characteristics, providing comprehensive bilingual and bicultural programs from kindergarten to pre-university level. To allow students to experience the unique educational approach of the school, they offer short-term summer school courses.
In the summer camp, experienced and dedicated teachers will guide students through a series of activities to help them explore their self-identity, family, community, and cultural backgrounds. They will gain an understanding of the development of human history and culture, learn various ways of self-expression, investigate the workings of the natural and human world, acquire knowledge of social organization, management, and leadership methods, and learn how to be responsible citizens, how to protect our planet, and how to propose solutions. Through the summer camp, students have the opportunity to make new friends, explore new subjects, learn new skills, and become more well-rounded individuals in a fun and supportive environment.
