HWA International School of Singapore was established in 2006, and is the only Chinese language international school in Singapore invited by the  Singapore Government’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore.

Since its establishment, HWA has been upholding the ideals of its founding, implementing the IB educational mission and promoting the unique IB bilingual curriculum, upholding the fine tradition of promoting Chinese culture and advocating the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.

HWA's School Philosophy

Growing up in an environment that provides opportunities for action, thus exercising their own choices and thinking about solutions to problems

Foster and encourage students to think and learn critically and independently, and encourage students to take responsibility for their own education and learning abilities

Focus on strong personal values and international sensibilities, fostering students’ social, academic and emotional well-being

The main difference from other curriculum systems is that it not only focuses on the systematic and complete nature of each discipline, but also on guiding children to engage in interdisciplinary inquiry.

Presenting students with an inquiry-based learning model in a bilingual context, and laying a good foundation for their future development

Raising children who will help build a better world through mutual cultural understanding and respect
