新加坡政府小学二年级至五年级无法直接申请，入读小学二至五年级的学生，需要新加坡国际学生入学考试（AEIS），凭考试成绩插班进入新加坡小学二年级至五年级。外国学生无法申请新加坡政府小学六年级，只能降级到小学五年级。
